The Ecological Society of America Presents:

An Austin Night for Nature

Austin’s awesome music culture mixed with its tradition of environmental awareness inspired ESA (http://www.esa.org) to organize this public concert for the benefit of Austin environmental groups. Three Austin-based bands will play sets, each fronted by singer-songwriters/multi-instrumentalists who have their roots in the eclectic Austin music scene: 

Headliner Alejandro Escovedo and the Sensitive Boys

Carolyn Wonderland

Terri Hendrix

("explosive positive energy” with “stylistic diversity [that] shines like a beacon, as even her blues come in a sweeping array of folk, country, pop and jazz colors" – Richard Skanse, Lava Magazine)

A number of Austin environmental groups will have information tables set up before and during the concert just outside the main hall.

Austin’s culture is closely aligned with ESA’s message of Earth Stewardship, dedicated to “shaping trajectories of social-ecological change at local-to-global scales to enhance ecosystem resilience and human well-being.”  ESA is holding its annual meeting in Austin Aug. 7-12.
